Hi all,
is there a way of rebooting a Lisa that doesn't involve pushing the front switch to power it down, and then fire it back up again? While that works, I feel like I'm stressing the components unnecessarily when doing so. Use cases include rebooting to switch from LOS to Macintosh System, or vice versa.
I know that Lisa has a reset switch on the back, but I assume it performs a hard reset that doesn't give LOS a chance to flush the disk cache and get ready for a reboot first.
The seller I got my Lisa from warned me that file system and even the Profile itself might get into inconsistent states if the system is rebooted / turned off without following proper procedure - not sure how much there is to it, but I don't know the system well enough to YOLO the reset switch when on the desktop with all applications closed, and call it a day.
Thanks for any insights!
Cheers
