Anyone here that does Powerbook restorations?

Hi all,

I recently booted up my father's Macintosh Powerbook 145B to record a short video of it.

While the device boots, the screen is not in very good condition and I imagine there may be other issues with it being such an old device.

I'm interested in paying someone to do a full restoration for him. If you or someone you know restores Powerbooks, I'd appreciate it if we could get in touch.

Thank you very much for the information! If I can't find someone to restore it for him perhaps I'll have to try to do it myself...
I think it would be a good idea to proactively address all of the common issues regardless of whether they are affecting it yet or not, so it's helpful to know what said issues are

Glad it was helpful. Yeah you might just have to do it yourself - a lot of people here will stay far away from restoring PowerBooks for themselves because they’re much more involved than desktops, let alone restoring them for others I’m afraid. I have fixed up a 145 that needed the works though, so I can give any advice you need.
