I really should have started a single thread a long time ago with all my machines but since I didn't here is the latest. It is the Apple 1705 monitor. Found in working condition with perfect plastics for only $25 thanks to craigslist.

It's hardly yellowed as well. Great acquisition !

This site has a mind of its own when it comes to rotating photos...

It depends on how you take your picture. If your using a phone, as you move the phone around or hold it in an odd angle, youll see the "controls" rotate even though the picture looks fine. Snap a pic, and the information about how the phone was being held is stored in the JPG file.

Therefore, it rotates.

Turn off your phones auto-rotation, and problem solved.

On this G3 I'm more interested about what that keyboard is, some sort of aftermarket but it looks like it might have potential.

Well the 6500/275 arrived today. The case could use some cleaning but it's a working machine, getting its install of OS8 now.

It's actually one of the only lines I haven't owned some variation of, I've been on the lookout for a 6400/6500 just cause I wanted to hear the startup sound haha

The 6500 is not that yellowed, just needs some magic eraser and a wash and will probably look like new.

You have the ZIP drive add on, something my 6400 (with 6500) motherboard doesn't have and it has pretty much everything else.

Rubbing alcohol on a paper towel or cotton balls will take that black crap right off. It looks like a nice machine under there! nice!

So my 575 arrived now and that basically completes my 500 series. I'm not going to try and get the weird ones like the 578. I do however wish they were all either lc or performa instead of a mixture.

Not really we have caddy load vs tray load cd drives, manual or auto floppies, trinitron vs cheap shadow just to name some differences from the 520 through 580.

This is an awesome collection.  I used to have a beige G3 desktop, however it lacked the Zip disk drive.  Awesome machine, especially with an ATI Radeon 7000 series graphics card, USB card, and wifi card, 768mb ram, 80gb hard drive, a DVD-RW drive, and the jumper moved around to step up the bus and cpu speed a bit.  Made for a decent performing Tiger machine with some help from xpostfacto.  Hmm, sad I got rid of it now  :( .

Also, nice 500 series lineup.  Do they all work?

The beige G3's are some of my favorite machines I have them in all three of the form factors but I like running OS 9 on them not X.

And yes all the 500s work. I have those all at my office but I keep my TV at home which is why it's not in the lineup.

If I were to own another beige G3 I would definitely run 8.6 or 9.x now with a bunch of software from that time period.  At the time (~2006) it was still my main machine.  Thus I really had to push it to its limits to keep up with modern browsers, iTunes, Office, etc. for school.

Neat! I have a 520 at the moment.  They have quite the nice display as far as CRT monitors are concerned.
