@LaPorta thanks! Local eBay. They were a package deal, I really wanted the 400, so I can definitely be tempted to part with the 350 if anyone is looking for a G4.

To quote Kosmo Kramer...interesting trades considered!

And thx will check on iomega drivers :)

Yeah, so this happened yesterday :ROFLMAO:

Pair of G4 AGP's, a 350 on the left and 400 on the right. Both came with 10GB hard drives, the 400 with 64MB of RAM and a Zip 250. Both cases are in great shape.

Cleanup and setup to follow.

Now you're talking. These are the best G4s in my opinion. I've had some issues with mine but they have never been the fault of the G4 itself, it's always been a third party card causing problems (for some reason, the AMD and Nvidia cards from this era like to die on me).

Now you'll have to get Unreal Tournament on there pronto. :)

Ah gotcha! Thought maybe he was a big Duke fan.

The Graphite G4s are awesome machines. These were the last Macs for which I provided direct tech support, so extra special for me :)

I've never owned one. Not sure I've even used one (probably have actually, I think they are the tail end of machines I also provided tech support for as a kid helping my dad - I think the MDD was the last thing I actually formally did "work" on.

I almost bought a dual 533 a little while ago but the seller... Went really angry when I asked how come it had no RAM, were any other parts like cables needed? They got really insulting, went on this progressively more and more rude tirade... So I just closed the chat and walked away. Shame, I actually quite fancied the computer.

Hopefully there will be another G4 opportunity for you. I never supported them, but I hear the dual proc ones are a bit temperamental?

Also, hows that G3 B&W treating you?

I’m not even sure which G4s of those I have. I have two currently, and I had a 3rd that I have to my brother…which he isn’t using. I have a feeling it will come back to me in years to come. One of them is a G4 server. Has ? A MO drive? Not sure what it is.

Not set up ATM. I only tend to have one or two machines set up at a time and after the meetup I'm taking a break. Classic is set up because my dad brought it to me and it needed some work. A little left to do. Probably should recap the analogue board preemptively, do some rust repairs, and fix the issue in the RTC circuit.

Also missing three case screws which is annoying because I understand they're hard to find.

I'm likely to set up my Mac Mini G4 next as I haven't used it for a long while.

How can someone not be a Duke fan?
Haha well put! We played Duke over than LAN at my 90s ISP while taking tech support calls. Was a very split brain experience showering the playing field with rocket fire while walking an old lady who just bought home her first PC from Best Buy through setting up Dial Up Networking :ROFLMAO:

Glad you approve of the G4 Multiplayer LAN Gaming Setup.

The SE in the middle was just a temp setup as I waited for a very long Cat5 cable. I since moved the 400 to my work desk to take advantage of the larger monitor. Also, gamers are now in a back to back seating arrangment, better than side by side and able to look at each others monitors.

Very nice pickup: what was the source? I have two of those, they pair very well and play very nicely with our Macs, too.

Gonna try the Zip250 in the DA/466, but in the middle of a download at the moment
One of these machines off Craigslist is what started my interest in vintage macs. I still have it, but the only drive I have for it has Leopard on it and as a result it moves glacially slow. Gotta put either tiger or OS 9 on it. (I'm pretty sure the graphite G4s shipped with 9, right?)
