Seagate ST12400N (2 gb) Termination Issues

Has anybody had any luck with getting these particular Seagate drives to work on a Mac with built in termination?

I have two that refuse to do anything under normal operation (but work fine with an external terminator). I've tried pretty much almost every mixture of termination jumper options as listed in the manual here:

Kind of at a loss :(

I'm pretty sure they were Apple-supplied drives in a few of the early high-end Power Mac models/WGSes.  Are you sure you tried all termination combos? Try removing the TERM jumper to see if it works. Also if there's an option, select "term power from bus". Otherwise, just use an external cable terminator. I have several early Power Mac towers outfitted with the external terminator from the factory though none currently use this drive.
