Good thing I checked the PRAM battery! Seller said he had pulled them all from the compacts he had for sale but I guess he didn’t pull from his desktops, or at least not this one. Close save!

Also the video card is the Apple HPV card.
One without switches will most likely work on an 8100 - its only the really early stuff that is supper picky (and needs 10 switches).Waiting for a DB15 to VGA adapter with dip switches to come in
Don't forget the caps on the video card, I've discovered that those are really starting to suffer from cap leaking. I have a pile of dead cards as a result. If it works recap the video card ASAP to keep it working.Cool, good to know! I’m going to get it open today and have a closer look at the insides. Make sure the PRAM battery has been pulled and such. Did see it open at the meet though, had an IBM SCSI drive and looked clean. No cap leaks yet, will be doing that ASAP though. Not looking forward to the 26 total caps on its logic board though…
That is concerning, really hard to say on that without video. The 7100 is a really good machine to tinker with though, good find and highly recommended I hope you can get it working. For sure will be doing that. They all look fine to me for now but this whole system is getting a recap ASAP. Might leave the PSU alone unless it dies though. Bit concerned that it stopped chiming though, any idea why that may be?
And I know, I know. Not much troubleshooting to be done until I get video hooked up.
