Price check on a PowerBook 100?

I've been offered a PowerBook 100, but neither of us knows how much it was worth. I've been scavenging Low End Mac and m68kmla but haven't found any good price comparisons.

Does anyone know what a PB100 with 20MB HD and floppy would be worth nowadays?

Thanks.

Hmm... does it work fine/have a working HD?

If so, AFAIK it's worth a fair amount.

Hm, never asked about the HD -- but I'm just discovering the problems with those HDs now. What would prices be with and without?

A working PB 100 without adapter sold for $65 on eBay recently. And one with what appears to be a faulty hard drive sold for $50. So you're looking at that sort of price range. If its got accessories, spare batteries, manual, etc, then you should be looking more towards the $100+ mark. Hard to say without seeing more completed eBay listings, but those are the ones I found. Hope that helps.

It depends on how much you want the machine and what you can afford. Think about the poor screen, even compared to early TFT screens, the tiny trackball and the HD that might reach EOL any next day. Keep in mind to pay USD 100+ for any reliable HD replacement, or the hassle to hunt down another computer for parts. Ask for a reasonable, low price to liberate the PB.
