missing capacitors in IISI PSU by Plessey

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to resurrect the Plessey PSU of my Mac IISI, it seems to be rare, Bruce has only the Sony one, and I do not find many information out there.

It's rather tight and more complex then the Sony one.

I need to admit that I lost two capacitors in my process, no one to blame but me :( .

You can find them at the bottom of the pic named C22 and C18

Can some one help me please?

I don't find references or schematics

I send a message to a guy here who mentioned repairing one two years ago.

I have a Magnetek which I’ve been trying to open. It uses rivets instead of screws.

Does yours have rivets and how did you open it?

If I can open mine, I could see if the board is similar and maybe which caps you’re missing.

Hi David, that's the one, Plessey is written on the board.

No rivets for me, they are used only for the grounds wires.

I found the capacitors!

The N4007 diode is conducting both ways as it happened to

 I'm trying with it now
