In a moment of nostalgia earlier, I was reading the MLA Wiki entry on the LC III. And toward the bottom of the page, an expansion to 132MBs is mentioned.
Is this true? It's the first mention I've ever seen of being able to take the RAM that high.
If so, would this RAM work?
My LC III is what introduced me to the Mac. I found it on top of a dumpster pile on the way home from school one day. It was loaded with System 7 on a near-death hard drive, but I still had more fun using it than I had with my Windows 98 PC at the time. I rewarded the LC III by fully restoring it cosmetically, taking it to 36MBs of RAM and hanging onto it as a memento.
But if this 132MB stuff is true, I may need to grab an FPU, possibly an '040 upgrade and set about pumping up my favorite computer ever.
Thanks. :beige:
