From a respondent to a craigslist ad that's cleaning house. In they-worked-once-but havent-been-started-in-awhile condition. $300 for the lot. I pickup on Saturday! Can't wait!

Don't count your chicks before they've hatched.

(Speaking of chicks, 40 chicks from the local hatchery arrived at the post office last night. They're all safe in their chick box today.)

Assuming they still work, whats the resale market look like for them? Seems like a bit of a risk unless you can make some money back on them.

Well count the the chicks in about 8 to 10 weeks when they are processed for the dinner table ;)

One of the guys at work raises chickens, turkeys, and ducks. He processes them at home too. Quite a production. I like the rotating finger defeathering machine.

How long have you been in the hobby?

Based on ebay prices - about $50 for nonfunctional units and $100 for working models.

They certainly look like CCIIs. The Japanese have an obsession with these, so I doubt they would have been thrown out. My bet is that there is a group of collectors who went splitsies on these...
