Designing a portable RAM card

Yea and I even made roughly 50 of these. That is all I made but they are out in the wild somewhere.

I stopped making them because A) they are time consuming and painful to assemble, I made them all by hand. and B ) I was going to run out of RAM ICs and that would be the end of it anyways.

Another member here took my project and found some more RAM ICs from a broker in china, ran a few more, and thats it. So there may be a grand total of ~75 floating around out there.

I handed the full project including the CPLD code out to a few people, BMOW, uniserver, there may be others. But I cant remember if I made the project public or not.

But the cards that are out there will always remain with some value simply due to the lack of RAM ICs.

This is sad to hear, but I'm glad I finally found the source of this project I only knew through a (your) youtube video!

I have checked online quickly, and digikey seems to have a shipment of 672 of these ram ics coming in next month :)

Not sure they are the right ones though.

they wont work. not even close. not only are they only 128Kbytes per chip, they dont have the necessary control lines to deal with a 68K
