YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I finally got one more 630 dos board for my 580. I was wondering if it was possible with 580's internal display but look:

All of the regular windows drivers work but obviously the screen will only do 640x480.

Hey, it's the much slower and slightly older equivalent of this weird all-in-one Compaq I saved from being recycled!

That second picture looks exactly like the Quadtel BIOS my Gateway 386 has, which is strange because if I'm not mistaken Phoenix Technologies bought Quadtel.  640x480 is pretty good for a 486 though, especially if you're staying with Windows 3.1 and not going to '95.

Yeah, 640x480 is plenty for pretty much everything. Windows 95 is fine at that resolution too, but it feels quite sluggish on a 486 (I have a relatively high end one that someone gave me, and I've never seen Windows 95 run so slowly! it had a decent (for a 486) 16 MB of RAM, too).
