520c & 5300cs obtained

just snagged these two beauts. Pics attached. Both working good. The 520c power jack is loose I might open her and re solder it. Other than that no problems except these horrible screens :)

I like the Blackbird books. Unique design.

I didn't think the screen on the 520c is that bad, but maybe I just have low standards on old PB's.

yeah the screens are the same on both models, what is it, passive display??  You cant do any motion viewing barely, the screen blurs everything together.  The 520c has the game Maelstrom on it, but I have no idea how anyone could have played it, its practically impossible to see anything when its moving on the screen haha

Ya, passive. My 1400cs is passive. They did not seem as bad back in the day. But the pixel shudder drives me nuts.

Maybe I'd need to use mine more seriously. I know the somewhat fuzziness of the Clamshell display is part of what made me move away from using it for journal work.
