I got my PowerBook 180C in the mail today! I was expecting a bare PowerBook, though I got: Club Kidsoft, (Shrink wrapped), AOL, Compuserve disk in sleeve, Another AOL disk, MacComCenter (With book), and!, A motorola 28.8k modem! SWEET! I could not be more happy with this!

I'm currently installing 7.5 on it. Having to make all 16 floppies with only 2 handy (Creating from my iMac G3) is going to take a while to install.

EDIT: Floppy image was corrupted and I started over, I got all of the part files from apple's site and extracted them on my iMac, imaged the smi, transferred to PC, sending (Via stargate) to the 180C (Running off of the disk tools disk copied to the hard drive). Phew. I better get this working with glider and some other games/apps by tomorrow to bring to school!

Glad it works - most of the ones I see are in pieces. There's one out at the recycling place right now with its display casing torn to bits. All the parts are there, so I'm thinking about getting it for parts for the (currently) working one I have.

Good luck! Hopefully it won't crash or do anything weird when you're trying to show it off.

They have a good keyboard and clean up nicely. The colour screen is great. Hope your install went well.

I used images of the restore disks and it works great! I have a few games and ClarisWorks on it. It is in my backpack with an ADB mouse, Power Cord and a floppy (Who knows where you might see another old Mac to get software from!). The keyboard is great, just like the one from my 145b in my 150. Tomorrow I will try to upgrade to 7.5.3.
