An ATI Radeon 9800 is, I believe, the best video card that was released for that Mac. There was an X800 released, but it requires the 8X AGP slot of the Power Mac G5, so won't work in any of the G4s. Good luck finding one for $150 or less, though.

A flashed PC nVidia card may be a good bet, too.

But, what all are you wanting to do with it? If you just want it for "2d" stuff, then your 7500 is perfectly acceptable. If you want it for Core Image stuff, then a Radeon 9600 or higher, or a GeForce 5200 or higher would be what you want.

AF has fingered it. When you have your 'aspirations' identified will be the time to buy. I use a 7500 with a DA 533MHz because it can drive an ADC 20" display, and is perfectly adequate for the most demanding use that I ask of it: editing soundwaves. It functions perfectly well at 2,000,000% magnification of waveforms for manual redrawing. Your use should define your desire. My 8500 was pretty slick in 2D/3D, but made to drive a DVI display, so it has 'retired'.

if you really want the best video card go for a flashed Radeon 9800 with 256MB VRAM or a flashed GeForce 7 series card.

the 9800 gets pretty hot compared to the geforce cards. so if i had to choose again I would go GeForce this time. had a radeon 9800 in my MDD back in the days and it showed symptoms of overheating when playing games for too long on really hot days.

If you can flash a 5200, not bad price for some that can handle modern gaming (Not with full settings, but I play Orange Box with it).

Radeon 9800 Pro Mac Edition, if you don't want to fool around with flashing PC cards is the best.
