Sorbet Leopard on RAID 0

Hi Sorbet folks!

After WEEKS of trial and error, error and error I'm asking myself: Is it even possible to install Sorbet Leopard onto a RAID 0?

The story: I want to have a speedy RAID 0 as my main drive for my G5 Quad. I have two exact same SATA SSDs. Installing vanilla Tiger 10.4.11 and Leopard 10.5.8 is possible and runs perfectly fine.

But restoring Sorbet Leopard onto the RAID 0 constantly fails. It doesn't work if I use the Leopard install disk and restore Sorbet from a USB drive (restoring finishes, but the Quad won't boot up, it will show a stop sign after a few seconds of Apple logo while on boot-up). It doesn't work if I use a second Powermac G4 running 10.4.11 and put the G5 Quad in target mode (here it won't even finish restoring, disk utility will cancel after a while, saying some files were not found). Do I have to use Leopard on the G4 in order to restore the G5? I thought using 10.4.11 is fine.

At this point I'm thinking that Sorbet Leopard isn't compatible with being run on RAID 0. Am I right with this assumption?

I'm running Sorbet Leopard on RAID 0 SSD

Prepare:
- One running Mac
- Sorbet Leopard (SL) and Carbon Copy Cloner (CCC)
- 16GB+ USB
- Another 8GB+ USB or any kind of External HDD. Copy SL and CCC to this 8GB USB

Step 1: Create a Sorbet Leopard live USB
1. Insert 16GB USB to your running Mac
2. Use CCC to clone SL to 16GB USB just like a normal HDD/SSD

Step 2: Boot to SL live USB
1. Insert the 16GB with SL live USB to your G5
2. Turn it on while pressing Option key
3. When the boot selection screen appear, press Ctrl + Z
4. Type the command: boot ud:,\\:tbxi
5. The G5 now will boot to SL live USB. It will be very slow and unresponsive as the speed of the USB is not fast, be patience. Set it up like normal

Step 3: Create a RAID 0 volume
1. When you have completed setup process in SL live USB, open Disk Ultility
2. Choose your SSD, go to RAID tab
3. Drag your two SSD into the blank box
3. Setup new Striped RAID 0

Step 4: Clone Sorbet Leopard to the RAID Volume
1. Insert the 8GB USB with CCC and SL
2. Run CCC and clone SL to your RAID Volume
