Mmm, so. With the assistance of techfury90, I have managed to get spindown and sleep to work !
To solve the issues, you must flash the bootloader to a special version that disables the startup delay.
Be warned! This COULD brick your SCSI2SD, if the process is interrupted somehow… e.g. cable disconnection, bad cable.
It is repairable, but it would require soldering wires to the EEPROM (not the easiest thing).
It's pretty easy, just connect the SCSI2SD to your computer, and open up the configuration application.
There should be an option in one of the menus to upgrade firmware, and one to upgrade the bootloader.
If you haven't updated to v4.7, do it now! Just download the file here and point that "firmware upgrade" option to the file.
Then, download this file, and point the "bootloader upgrade" option to the "nodelay" file.
Finally, after that's all completed successfully, load the device configuration, change the "Startup Delay (seconds)" to "0" (zero) and click "save to device".
The issues should now be gone!
Let me know how this works for you!
