Odd thing. I've just got a dead Quadra 610 booting after various repairs. I won't lie, I had some trouble with it - possibly onboard RAM, and ADB, SCSI and other things I fixed before powering it on. Mostly because of some cap rot and a couple of bent pins on the IOSB.
Something strange I'm seeing. Obviously these don't have soft power, but if I boot from a 7.5.3 or 7.5.5 CD (no System Enabler required from 7.5 onwards), it freezes when I select shutdown or restart.
Note, if I boot from a CD with 7.6.1 or newer, it shuts down and restarts perfectly.
No, I don't have a hard disk "in it", because "it" is a PCB sat on top of some antistatic bubblewrap next to a powersupply.
