Powerbook 5xx AC Adapter

Given the pin out for the Powerbook 5xx series charger, could one be powered by an AC adapter that only has two wires, one live and one ground? My thinking is I could tie the ground sense pin and ground pin to the ground, and tie the live wire to the live pin, and just leave the vBatt pin disconnected since it doesn't have a battery in it anyway.

Does that make sense? Will it work? Does the vBatt pin need to be live or can it be left disconnected? etc...

I havent tried it recently. I vaguely recall screwing around with a generic power supply on a 520 long long ago when mine died. Back when I was actively dicking around with these machines in the late 1990s/early 2000s.

Arnt these guys 16V? I honestly dont remember.

As far as the pinouts, I remember them being on the web back in the day, but a quick google search has reveled that most of the pictures, charts, and information are long long gone. Has flown through the internets tubes and already in the toilet.

Ok, so it sounds like my basic idea will work. Good enough for me. I'll try it on the 520 I don't care about just in case.
