Hello all, since it seems like I've caught the vintage Mac/Apple bug, I figured I'd start one of these threads.
I scored what I think to be a pretty good CraigsList deal on a literal car-full of late 80's early 90's stuff, photos over here: http://imgur.com/a/28kgt
I'm particularly interested in the Performa 600 and the PowerBook 160, if I can figure out a power solution.
I haven't had a chance to power any of this stuff on yet, but I was told that the LCs at least power on. I opened them up and didn't see any gunk on the inside that would indicate blow caps or leaky batteries, so that's potentially promising.
If the ImageWriter IIs clean up, it would complete the SE that I've been wrestling with over here: https://68kmla.org/forums/index.php?/topic/28532-troubleshooting-a-macintosh-se/ When I dug through the material that came with the unit, I found an invoice for the whole purchase which included an ImageWriter II
Most of the stuff is pretty grody. It looks like it may have come from an auto shop, or some other kind of light industrial setting. Grime galore, I'll be researching peroxiding before long, I'm sure.
