Patiently Awaiting the Arrival of My CC

I finally found the Missing machine for my compact mac collection.. Been hunting and hunting for a while.. and found one. Im just waiting for it to arrive.

I scored an LC PDS DOS Card off eBay for 20 bucks shipped with the cable and everything for it.

Any CC owners have any tips on these.. Also whats the option for ethernet for these since the PDS Slot will be filled with the DOS Card

Thanks

With the stock board, a SCSI EN/SC adapter is your best bet. You can also use AppleTalk with an Ethernet bridge, but it will be considerably slower. You would be better off upgrading the logic board at some point if you really intend to use the CC in any practical way. As you know, it is one of the more crippled designs. Get yourself an LC 575 (and put the ugly thing out of it's misery :beige: ), and take advantage of its dedicated comm slot to add an Ethernet card. You will be much happier in the long run, and it's one of the easiest and reversible upgrades you can do. Plus it avoids you having dongles and adapters hanging off the back of your otherwise svelte CC. Good luck and have fun!
