I picked up 2 older PC laptops today from Freecycle. One of them's a 486 DX2, 50mhz, with 24mb RAM, and a 1gb hard drive, but a broken screen. Works fine with an external HD, and that one's going to a friend who wants it to play Betrayal At Krondor.
The other one is a Thinkpad 765L. It's got 64MB RAM, a 2GB drive, and a 133mhz Pentium 1. Its battery works and apparently it has Cardbus, so it'll probably end up as my 'disposable' laptop; for light browsing, chat, etc. It's going to get Debian Linux on it.
