Macintosh 128K bit rot/RAM recommendations

Hi all,

I've 2 x original Mac 128K with "bit rot" on the memory of both boards. One board is untouched while the other has a couple of odd RAM chips replaced from past repairs. I'd like to replace all RAM in the Macs, recap analogue board, rebuild keyboard and service all floppy drives.

For anyone that's done this recently, what would you recommend?

- Recommended 4264 RAM supplier?
- Can see RAM failing again so - put in sockets?
- Is there any neat, reversible 512K upgrade I could put in place during this process (a 128/512 switch once ROMs switch over?)

Thank you

JB

I will put sockets in. Not done recently on a 128k board, but done a lot on many boards.

Will keep the board as a 128k only.

Yes there doesn’t seem much of a neat way to interchange it between 128/512, sockets yes
