Could anybody make available a picture of the "logic board take-apart tool", which is mentioned in PowerBook 1xx service sources (with a drawing)?

Maybe I can create such an alien when modifying a big clothespin?

You can find it in several PowerBook 1xx service sources:

"Caution: Always use the logic board take-apart tool to separate the daughterboard connector from the motherboard connector. Trying to disconnect the daughterboard from the motherboard by rocking or peeling the boards apart damages the connectors."

Wow, Never knew that. Ive yanked enough PB1XX systems apart and together to fill a barn. Never really had issues. Sure, you have to be careful.

I just pop them apart, watch the ribbon cable going to the LCD and upper half, remove that, and then take the screws out to remove the CPU card. just pull up.

These days though, its not pulling on the circuit board that is a problem. Its simply just taking out the screws. the standoffs are so brittle that just simply unscrewing the screws will cause them to throw chunks everywhere and crumble like an engine without oil.

You don't need that tool.  No-one does!  PB1x0 disassembly is about as easy at it gets taking apart a portable machine.

Just make sure to keep the pressure even when separating them and you shouldn't have trouble.

Oh they must br talking about the cpu card, ya i have poped those off many many times. Never issue, I guess if you were slightly brain dead and one of those people that didn't really understand how things work that I guess I could see how someone wood peel that off I guess but then again that same person probably couldn't even remove a hard drive cable properly without bending pins and breaking connectors same thing pretty much the CPU card come straight off pretty simple
