leaky network driver or something... my whole network starts to go wacky blinkin' lights after a while. had to restart the BeBox to get it to stop.

Sure is.

I look at it this way, I've already played with the BeOS back in the mid/late 90's (on a 604 based PPC mac clone no less) Not really charting new territory for my self there. BeBox is an interesting piece, but it's not all that hot specs wise, really kind of limited and large, plus most development for Be is intel.

linux on the other hand, I have no experience with, nor Sun, NeXT or the Alpha computers. Those offer much more interest for me, to learn something new. I'm more interested in the experience, rather than the collecting side of things, not to say I don't collect at all. This is why my 'collection' includes just a Powerbook 180 and an Apple IIc. Neither take up much space and if I didn't use them semi regularly, I'd probably part with those as well.

They did not make many BeBoxen....that is an epic find.

If I were you I would hold on to it. But then again its your choice, and I certainly understand that cashing in now is also very logical. (Esp. since you played with BeOS)

Still a great conquest.

Nice! Shame your selling, also kinda rude you are selling something you just got free yourself. I have gotten lots of great stuff for free over the years and I would never consider selling the free stuff I got , If I want rid of it I just give it aways myself.

Heater core is cheap, labor is what gets ya. Whatever left is getting funneled into getting the other machines functional.

and given the huge amount of cool stuff I've given away over the years I don't feel bad selling this one at all.

Try OpenVMS on the Multia! Linux runs on PCs, might as well run it there IMO.

If you get the Multia running, be careful with it. Google "multia heat death".
