SE/30 Reloaded VRAM issue

I think it's time to get a digital microscope if I'm going to be able to get a better look at this thing.

Any recommendations around the £100 mark?

Also if you guys know of any resources I could read that would help me understand better how the SE/30 display logic works with regard to addressing. I already looked at the schematics.
