First of all I'm a total noob when it comes to vintage Mac's and I'm new to this forum, so please bear with me. I have a Mac LC III that I purchased on ebay a couple of years ago. I was in the process of upgrading it when I ran into a roadblock. This is what I have added to the stock LC III:
32mb ram upgrade
MC68882FN16A Motorola Math Coprocessor 32 bit
256k vram
Farallon PDS Ethernet card
AppleCD 300.
SCSI Terminator for the AppleCD
Everything works on my LC except for the last two. The ethernet card and AppleCD just will not work. I'm sure this is because the floppy drive on the LC would not read the disks that came with the ethernet card and the AppleCD original factory disk. So far the only disk i've been able to get the drive to read has been the disk from SimCity that I purchased. I would think that the floppy drive is bad, except it will read the SimCity disk EVERY time I insert it. But it will not read any other disks. Any suggestions?
