Crystal swap for SuperMac 64MHz IPA daughter board to GX's 80Mhz?

Anyone know if it is possible to just swap crystals to upgrade an IPA to GX performance? I'm not sure I would do so for fear of breaking a working card, but I am wondering if it is at least possible.

Coincidentally, are SuperVideo and IPA the only software you need for this? Does SuperVideo contain the driver extension?

Worth noting all the Storm DSP drivers are just rebrands, so you can generally use the SuperMac, DayStar, etc DSP drivers interchangeably.

This has proven useful because the SuperMac 1.2 driver has given me trouble (corrupt?) and the DayStar Charger Control 1.2 works perfectly on my SuperMac.

As for swapping the crystal...hard to say without trying. If the IPA has a 4-pin oscillator you could try grounding out the enable pin and bodging a new oscillator in if you want a less invasive test. But those cans are pretty easy to swap back-and-forth without damage anyway.
