clean install mac os?

I got a se 30 and it still has old personal documents from previous owner. I feel uncomfortable with having those files laying around. Is there any directions to do a wipe of the hardrive and do a clean install of the os? I tried google but I can't find any directions to do a complete clean install of the os. Any help would be appreciated.

I don't know if this is the best way, but delete all the files off the drive and then add a system folder from a boot disk. Then locate the system folder in the system tools, utility disk, and printing tools disk and copy the contents onto the hard drive. (before you do this i would wait for another opinion because i haven't done this.)

If you can get the patch for Apple's HD SC Setup, it fits on most boot floppies, and it can format or partition most hard disks I know of. From there, use whatever boot floppies. On an SE/30, I'd boot from the fresh system and then use ZTerm to send over anything else needed such as the 7.5.3 or 7.1 installers.

I guess the problem is now is how to get apple hd sc setup on to a bootable floopy?

I had a similar issue with my Mac SE Superdrive. Since it has 1.44 MB floppies I'd just use HFV Explorer on Windows or something along that to place files using an external USB drive. Or, you could just write a downloaded boot image for system 7 to the disk, which you can do from Mac or Linux.

Just to give an update, I got the apple floppy emulator and it came with apple hd sc setup. I was able to re partition my hd and do a clean install. What a great product.

Floppy emu? I've got one too. Amazing! My ad card that came with it finally got corrupted but that's because my pic has a cheap USB adapter that kept ejecting it.
