This may have been what confused me.  I was doing some desultory research for doing a LocalTalk-to-LToUDP bridge and the product family looked active everywhere I could see so I probably just assumed the DIP version was still current too...

I just want to add that Amazon sells things that will never work, and possibly cause damage.
