Congrats on your Q700! I've got three that I use to support the surrounding shelf that protects my plotter from people . . . the other way around works out rather nicely as well . . .
)
I'll get around to playing with them someday, but first I have to finish the PPC hack I've done to one of them, additional slot and all!
i am one of those guys that just puts in what i want to pay , and if i lose it .. then i lose it... big deal. then i just wait for another one.
I do the same thing, but I wait until the last 30 seconds to bid, I lose out on a LOT of auctions where nobody else even bids by missing deadlines. However, nobody wins in a bidding war, IMHO, so I don't think it's very advantageous to bid early to start one right from the get go. I hold my cards tight, bid what I'm willing to pay and bid it at the very end. Every once in a while I'll put in a bid just before going to work to come home and find I've won, but that's rare, why give anyone time to mull it over as to whether they want to try to outbid you? I don't mind being out-sniped a bit, it's the folks who put bids in a few dollars higher trying to edge you out that are the ones that make my skin crawl.
