Where can I find the first OS for Macintosh Plus?

Beware. That is a 1.44M floppy formatted as a 800K floppy by blocking the HD sensor hole on the drive. This makes for flakey unstable disk formats that do fall apart over time. Most 800K drives wont be able to read them, only the drive that created it. It is also a Non-Apple Product. And since it is for the SE and the Plus - it is System 6.04 in the minimum.Thanks for your answer

Multi-languages for Mac System software came out around System 6.02. All the others before it are in English though there were a few national translated systems around System 4.2.
Here is a link of my System archive from the 90s (I'm surprised that the damn links work!) but it is in English. But from System 1 (.97) to System.6.08.

Well, 1.44 disks that were never formatted, as-in sold originally unformatted, take 800k formats fairly well. The problems usually start if it was used as a 1.44 disk and then someone tried to format it for 800k. Yes, there are inherent track size differences, and there are actual differences in the formation of the magnetic particles on the disk, so the magnetic flux is different, but as long as it was never formatted as 1.44, and one doesn't expect them to last for a decade or more, it should be fine.

If you don't specifically need to buy it, it's here: http://www.rolli.ch/MacPlus/Archives/ZIP/Disk300.zip. And the software bundles should also be here. I've also had an original copy I inherited a long time ago with a Plus that I can image if all of that for some reason doesn't work; links seem to be dropping like hard drives.

That's a problem because many 1.44 disk boxes I have (TDK, Maxell and a couple of others) say on it "Formatted for PC," which means that they were formatted at the factory so the buyer can use them right away, and as probably formatted as a quality test before releasing them. Many such disks I tried to format on Mac OS 1.4 format, and then fail during format but on PC they format fine! But with unformatted 1.44 disks (like Elephant Brand disks) format just fine on the Macs.

Yeah, disks with a factory format are a pain, unformatted disks are harder to come by. I remember when they used to be common. I would image NOS stock of unformatted disks is rather hard to come by these days. Probably not as hard to come by as NOS 800k disks, but probably getting close.
Technically, if you expose the disk to a high enough intensity magnetic field for a long enough period of time, it is essentially like "unformatting" the disk by literally destroying the magnetic alignment and making it truly random again. A VCR tape "eraser" should work. Although I would imagine those are hard to find these days. Then again, don't floppies have a non-data track on the inside that is used for alignment or something like that? If that was destroyed, I would imagine the disk could never be used again... My knowledge on physical floppy construction isn't quite as sharp as it used to be.

I had an original French System 3.2 but the disk went bad a couple of months ago. I wanted to make a backup but it was too late... I should try this

There is a link to a French system 3.3 on there. The guy says it's for a 512k but it should work on a Plus.
So it's not THE original software for a Mac Plus, but I think 3.2 and 3.3 were pretty identical.
