That´s absolutely nuts. Why do we allow Apple to force us leaving our well working systems (like PPC, OS9 or even 68k)USB 2.0 requires OS X
They aren't forcing you to do anything. That´s absolutely nuts. Why do we allow Apple to force us leaving our well working systems (like PPC, OS9 or even 68k)
Come one, they forced Opera to stop developing their browser for OS9, they provided QuickTime 6.5 for Windows 98 but not for OS9 etc. etc. They aren't forcing you to do anything.
However your need has changed.
So lets see, a company who is in the business of selling hardware and operating systems has to provide the same functionality as the new operating system on all previous versions of the operating system?apple forces developers to stop development for older systems.
No, that´s not what I am demanding! But the Idea of pushing people to buy new stuff is what makes me stay with OS 9 as long as possible and never using OS X.Is that what you are demanding?
68k gave way to PPC because of limitations in the family.Apple creates incompatibilities without any need - that´s fact. OS9 vs. X, PPC vs. Intel, Stop of Classic etc.
And I don´t understand why anybody find´s it o.k. that apple forces developers to stop developing for OS 9!
SWEEEETTTT!!!! I want! For example I am writing a Web Browser for System 6...
I think you can put a USB 1.1 card in it... probably not USB 2.0 though. Is this even possible? I have a powercurve 601 (with a G3 upgrade) sitting in my closet that I'm going to get running sometime. Could I add in a USB2 card and have full USB 2 functionality? My logic says no, but maybe I'm wrong...
