I do ;) It’s always the three middle pins on each side.
All my Thunder/24s have that too.
Hmm, yeah it's roughly the middle 3 pins on 3/4's of the sides on mine, but the top edge is a little different.

I can't get this card to produce output or even show up in TattleTech on my 840AV and I have no clue as to why. There don't appear to be any damaged or missing components on the board with exception of on the back near the Nubus connector one of the little rectangular ferrite blocks is chipped on one end.

Those are chokes sitting in between the 5V supply coming from the Nubus connector and the main VCC plane on the card itself.
Not sure how power is distributed exactly and if there's separate planes behind each choke or if they all connect to the same plane.

In case of the latter your broken component should not matter. If the 4 chokes are feeding power to various places that aren't connected to each other then that will be a problem.

This is the component in question. Outside of that there's nothing obviously amiss with the components on the card. I suppose it's possible that's enough damage to the choke to put it far enough out of spec to cause enough of a problem that the card just never inits properly and makes itself known on the bus?

Just desoldered that choke on one of my cards to check if they all connect to the same 5V plane - they do. So even if yours is defective and open it's not going to be a problem as long as the other 3 are good.
Blargh! Well... then I'm stumped at the moment what's going on with this thing.

The control panel freezes the system.
I poked around with Resourcerer and all copies of 1.2 seem corrupt. Many resources report being gigabytes in size which is likely what causes the lockups (I have the same problem).

Similarly to you, I switched to an earlier version (1.1), which has normal-looking resources and runs just fine.

Don't know if anyone has a clean copy, but both of the ones I found on the garden show the same damage.

Alternatively, its possible the Daystar version of the panel works fine, because they're both the same Storm accelerators with different branding.
