NIGHT STALKER
I've ALWAYS wanted one of these high - tech lookin' joysticks, and today, I finally got one at my Church's HarvestFest (Octoberfest [] ]'> along with the greatest chair I've ever had! The joystick was $2 and my new swiveling/reclining/ottoman equipped computer chair in black metal tube and what looks for all the world to be black leather only set me back $15! [] ]'>
It looks VERY COOL sittin' in front of my multiple computer workstation/collection display down in the living room! The cushy swivel rocker has been moved to replace the, less than comfortable, inflatable chair under my reading lamp. The black beauty allows more of the workstation/display center to show and the ottoman makes a perfect spot to keep my black computer lap desk with the wireless KBD or the 466 DA's KBD, whichever is in use at (or, more accurately, was last in use at) the time.
I just need to make a wider-deeper swing-out mousepad station so I can move the chair out toward the coffee table a tad! I was already going to make it deeper to make room for a wrist rest, so that's no biggie. When I finally get the top level of the display done, the last coats of latex on and everything clear-coated, I'll be posting piccies. Don't hold your breath, there are a LOT of projects ahead of it.
Not sure there ever were Mac drivers for the Cyborg, but I imagine I'll find Linux drivers if there aren't any for the Mac . . .
. . . but, ISTR there was a review of it in one of the Mac mags of the era. [] ]'>
I also snagged a nice medium length, narrow tool chest in need of some sheet metal reworking, an ANCIENT 1/3 sheet orbital sander that says "Industrial Quality" on the plate and still works! Also picked up a very nice - old school - adjustable mitre box and Back Saw for it for about $2.75, an HP KBD and some other stuff I can't think of offhand. Total damage was less than $30!
