I'm trying to slim down but I guess two steps forward one step back.
I found a guy selling a bunch of stuff locally.
He had the entire guts of a Plus and this HD20SC, two external floppies, an ImageWriter II, and associated peripherals & manuals.
Although very little software.
He told me the hard drive in the HD20SC was "gone". He said it was "gone" years ago.
The way he was talking I took it to mean he'd removed the hard drive.
But when I got it home it seemed kind of heavy.
Hmm, looks like a HD to me!
It spins up but I haven't tried to access it yet.
The guy said that back in the 90's his dog knocked the computer and HD off the desk so I doubt the HD still works.
What's funny is the guy told me he pulled the ram out of the Plus board because he thought the chips might have some of his old data on them...
I didn't bother to correct him. That's the first time I've heard that one.
