If you get it, replace the RIFA capacitor, even if the Macintosh does power on.
'Nuff said. Just want to prevent disasters.

Hello everyone, i don’t want to mess up the thread but I been reading the forum and posts but still don’t understand how to name or what to do next with the blue scsi that I’m trying to use on my Mac plus, is here anyone that can help me out? I haven’t been able to find a video or instructions that I can figure out. I have the sd card formatted to exfat and the macpack files unzipped in the card but I’m not sure which files to name or change. Can anyone tell me what to do next to get this to work? I attached a picture of what I have on the SD card now. Thank you

Ok thank you, I named each one of those to the correct format using SCSI Ids 5,6,7. Do I need to do anything to the DSK zip file with all the games for it to work properly? Or should I just leave everything else like it is? Thank you for your help

^You might want to use SCSI ids 4, 5, 6, since the Plus is id 7. Do you have a real hard drive connected to it? If not, then, use 0, 1, 2. ID 0 is usually assigned to the drive containing your startup volume.

Ok thank you I will change those now and I do not have a actual hard drive. Do you now if I should unzip the file containing all the other games or should I leave it zipped? I was unsure what to do with the boot.rom, disc605, and the end and read me files too. Do I delete those or just leave them alone? I appreciate all the help just cant figure this out and don’t want to risk messing anything up.

Not a problem. I'll defer to someone more familiar with the BlueSCSI. I'm still using spinning disk technology on my older machines. Eventually, I'll switch over.

I believe the .dsk is a boot floppy of System 6 - I don't think BlueSCSI can use that to boot, but I haven't tried.

The BlueSCSI will ignore all files not listed in its naming convention. So your non-hda files (including zip and dsk) will be ignored. I believe those other files are useful for emulation, but not for booting off a real device. You can leave them or take them off, the BlueSCSI will ignore them either way.

For convenience sake, you can add whatever you want to the file name after the 512 bit - that way you can tell which file is which.

Ok thanks for everyone’s help, y’all have helped me out so much. I have floppies for system six and five game discs but was wanting to get something I could use on another Mac plus and not have to carry them with me each time. This is what I have done so far. I renamed them and then put all the other stuff in a file in case it is needed later. As soon as I can I will try this out tonight and let everyone know how it came out. Thanks again!!!!!
