Powerbook memory question

Have a 4mb module from a 140-170. If the ram was removed will it work on a 180 memory expansion card with empty slots? I am guessing not, but curious just in case.

I'm not sure if I'm interpreting your wording correctly. Are you wanting to transplant chips from one memory card to another? That is certainly possible to do and can work.

Hi there, yes thats what i am saying. Sorry for confusion. Only issue, is on the powerbook 180 expansion one chip says 9337 658511ltt-85. On other side of board it says 9335 658512lfp-85. On the actual logic board it says 9327 658512ltt-85 on both sides of board. So why does expansion have the lfp chip on one side? It is thicker too. I added pictures of both sides of logic board and both sides of expansion. Thanks for the help

Yes it will work. The thick chips can only go on the bottom as there's no room to put them on the top. Mixing package types is perfectly fine.
