Performa 475 and BlueSCSI

Hello, I have a BlueSCSI rev1.1a installed on the internal port on a Performa 475. I installed it with several images and everything works fine. But I leave the Performa without using it for a few weeks, with the battery full, and then it does not recognize any BlueSCSI boot disk, instead I disconnect it and connect another 25 pin BlueSCSI to the external port with the same SD and it starts from there. I try it many times and in the end without knowing how, it starts. But I turn it off and store it for another season and the same thing happens again.

Do I have something configured wrong?

I had a little trouble this week with a ZuluSCSI and a 475. The TERM dip switch was set, but the log showed it wasn’t activated. Toggling it off / back on activated termination and the 475 was able to recognize it.

Thank you, I make many attempts to turn it off and on, and I don't know how it finally recognizes it (sometimes I get tired beforehand and don't try anymore)

Could it be overclocked to 33MHz? He has 7.5.5 installed

It's a long shot, and probably not it, but technically your SCSI is overclocked :

Thanks!! I'm going to try moving that resistor and lowering the speed.

Will the final SCSI speed be lower than the stock one with 25MHz?

But that wouldn't explain why on the external port a 25-pin blueSCSI 1.1a works fine the first time. Are there differences?

Try also with a single image. My 475 refuses to boot sometimes when there are multiple images (it typically boots after a keyboard reset)

Hello, i have moved the resistor, and the problem persist. With the external BlueSCSI only with the same SD boot at first attempt with several images inside, but with the internal don't boot. The green led flashes two times, see the attach video.

I recommend rasing it with Eric if you bought it through official channels. He should be able to help more than us as it is his product.

Do other SCSI devices work internally? I also had to repair one of the data lines to get my internal 50-pin working on the 475.

I think the first time it happened I tried it and it worked, but I'll try it again, maybe that could be it.
Thank you!

I thank you very much for the indication, you were right. I tried a SCSI HD and it didn't work either. I looked at the tracks and they all looked good! I couldn't find anything, but I couldn't find where PIN 12 of the connector (DATA BUS 5) went. I have a broken 475 motherboard, and I checked where it was going. Well, that track had continuity from the chip until it reached the plastic of the connector, but not in the connector! It turns out that the track is damaged just under the plastic, I guess it broke from plugging-unplugging the cable. With a cable I connected from there to the bottom of the connector and it works again!!!

THANK YOU VERY MUCH TO ALL!!

As a precaution I have added a piece of eraser under the PCB, under the connector, to prevent it from bending when plugging and unplugging.

My Performa 475 has come back to life!
