Just as a warning - I think some of the PowerBook models will only charge the PRAM battery if the main battery is functional. Of course, that only applies to models that use a rechargeable Lithium cell.

In any case, there's a guy on eBay making new ones: https://www.ebay.com/itm/325429557742

Also, if you're going to be taking apart the LCD to recap it (which you should by the way), I'm currently missing the cap values for the 2300c LCD, and I could also really use the part number for it for this list on my website as well: https://macdat.net/macintosh/powerbook/general/powerbooklcdindex.html

Ahhh, right. I don't think I have a reference photo for the 230 LCD so that could be useful, but if its already been recapped, then that dilutes the usefulness of a photo.

Ah, well yes, I know what they do look like but I need an image that I have permission to use on my website. I can’t just take some guy’s image, or at least I’m not going to do that.

I wish I had known about those new pram batteries a while ago when I needed them, but I already ordered the parts to just make them myself.

The 35v cap (at least the ones I have) are quite difficult to install as they are much larger than the original and barely fit on the pads. Might be worth it to buy a 25v if you can confirm your model has a 25v cap (my 280 and 230 both are 25v but some are unmarked).

If you would like, I can get a photo of the display since mine has not been recapped yet and is not a hassle to open. Always happy to help where I can.

Here you go! All 3.3uf 35v caps. They are not normal smd it looks like. Looks like they are cylindrical inside of a square casing and on their side.

It doesn’t look too great right now so hopefully my new replacements arrive soon…

Seems like this thread has a photo of the 230 LCD:

That’s my thread, feel free to use any of my pictures if they would be helpful.

Thanks a bunch! Will get these added.
Edit: thanks as well fizzbinn! Mind if I use your PowerBook 5xx PSU guide image on my site as well?

No problem. Sure, my goal in creating/posting stuff like this is to hopefully be of help to others, so increased visibility sounds good to me.
