Hi,

did anybody try this before? Only connecting the Interconnect Board.

I would quickly get a working PowerBook. :)

Daughter board with Logic board ? maybe.

140/170 logic board is the same LB (the label says so) so there is a chance with you setup.

No, upper part means display and keyboard part,

lower part means lower case with hdd, floppy, logic board with daughter board etc.

Sorry, the correct question is;

Mounting PB 145B top case on PB 160 bottom case: is it possible?

It's been many years since working on the PowerBook 100 line, but I'm quite certain they interchange.

Nothing to lose, will probably won't harm anything.

The Powerbook 180 is different, and connector will not fit (longer IIRC) but i am pretty sure 145b and 160 were produced at the same time and share a lot.

Unfortunately it didn't work: the plug of the PB 165 interconnect ribbon cable is about 7 mm longer. :(
