OrangePC bios? and ram update

Another update and another cry for any help--

Current situation. 4 matching (presumably) 1MB sims. With all 4 in, ram total is 3MB.

I decided to take 2 sticks of ram out to see what the total was. The sims are in slot 1 and 2. Total comes out to 1MB.

Swapped the 2 ram sticks for the other 2 sticks. Installed in slots 1 and 2. Total--1MB.

Decided to move the 2 sticks to slot 3 and 4. Total--1MB. However, computer says ram count does not match CMOS--run SETUP......but doesnt display the key sequence for getting into CMOS.

Unless theres a way to get into the CMOS from the Macintosh application, I am still at a loss. I tried the two methods here (http://archive.retro.co.za/mirrors/68000/www.vintagemacworld.com/O386.html) and no luck. I don't have a hardware menu, and ctrl-alt-esc doesnt do anything. I cannot produce a keyboard error, except for the one that occurs at boot, which doesnt mean anything as the keyboard works fine.

What's the RAM you're using - did the board come with any?  Can you try another quad set, with parity - I recall 386 machines were much pickier about 30 pin RAM than 486 boards owing to them just working with anything by then.

Love this board by the way!

Hey, I do appreciate it.

Here are the sticks I have. I literally have no idea what size any of them are, except maybe the goldstar sticks.

6x Oki  msc23108-70ds2 (1MB each?)

4x T / TI

1x Viking Fuji(?)

4x goldstar (currently using)

2x Mitsubishi (what it came with)

I also have 16mb sticks that I'm using in my q950, but the last time I tried those, the card got really angry, then the application stopped booting the card.

edit: just tried the 4x T/TI sticks, ram counts up to 3072kb (3MB)

Unless AMD made audio chips, I don't think this card has native audio.. the chip with the schmoo on it is I believe the cmos chip. Goldstar is the 8bit isa serial and parallel controller. I doubt the xilinx chip would be audio either...

Also, the ctrl-alt-esc does nothing on mine. After ram count and producing a "keyboard interface error" message (regardless of me hitting a key or not) it just beeps until its done processing the invalid inputs.

Also, my connector is 25 pin, not 62. Attached is a picture if the connector interface, including the round one.

Do you think the round plug is for a Microsoft bus mouse? I was watching a video about computer mice and saw this. Very close, but I'm not sure about that empty pin on top of the plug.
