Snooper 2 RAM test

I have an IIsi with potentially bad onboard RAM, so I am going to pull the chips off 4x 256k SIMMs to replace the onboard chips. I have two sets of 4x 256k SIMMs, I want to make sure they are good before I use them in my IIsi project. I used my SE/30 to check the SIMMs, installing 1mb at a time, and all the SIMMs failed the Snooper 2 RAM test. I was always installing them in a matching set of 4. The RAM test goes through its 4 test patterns, and at the end it says the RAM is bad. This happens with both sets of 4x SIMMs. The machine seems to function fine. Are there any issues with the Snooper 2 RAM test anyone is aware of? It is certainly possible both sets of SIMMs are bad, but I would be a bit surprised if that was the case. Does anyone have a suggestion for another good RAM test program?

My SE/30 is the only machine I have at home that I can use as a test bed currently. I have an SE with 4mb RAM, but whoever installed the RAM completely removed R35 to set the board to 4mb, rather than just snipping one end and leaving it. Unfortunately I don't have a replacement 150 Ω resistor handy.

I looked into GURU but it looks like it only works with System 7, and since I currently have 1mb in the machine to test, I can't run System 7. I downloaded Apple Personal Diagnostics and the RAM tests good. I'm looping the test for a while, but the first 5 passes didn't find errors.

I filled both banks with 256k SIMMs for a total of 2mb, and now the Snooper RAM test shows the RAM is good. There must be something about 1mb total in a SE/30 Snooper doesn't like.
