After the debacle with my IIsis (update: I got one to work!) I have moved on to my next reachable machine: Power Macintosh 7100/66.  Yes, the slow 'original launch' model.  And just like I remembered, it has System 7.1.2 (the earliest OS capable of running on any PowerPC,) on it.  Complete with original "PowerPC Demo Applications" folder and everything!  I even had found some VRAM SIMMs to put in it, so it can do more than 256 colors.

Although for the life of me, I can't get it to let me change resolutions on my AppleVision 1710AV...  (Yes, I tried with both the onboard video and the HPV PDS video card, which is the one I had the VRAM SIMMs for.  And yes, I've loaded the AppleVision drivers. And yes, I have the ADB connection going.)

My 7100's does not like resolution switching either.  the video card will easily see millions of colors but wont switch.  I didnt look up to see why as I have so may projects.
