Hello,

I managed to connect an Eizo FlexScan SX2461W 27” to my IIcx using a 15DM/DF-10p adapter and a DVI to VGA cord. It work great, I can se a full spectrum of colors, except the halftone is overwhelmingly green.

What is happening and why all the green? I use a Nubus Macintosh Display Card 670, 820-0600-A

I have tried every display setting … what have I missed?

For now I use it monochrome.

BW,

Kristian

I believe the issue is with the video card. I have the same one and had the same issue. I think that card does sync-on-green. Someone correct me if I am wrong. Switching video cards was my solution.

Hey- I am using a Radius PrecisionColor 8-xj (only 8bit) and vga connector to various LCD's. I tried to hunt down a VGA-DVI cable (I had one somewhere), but couldn't find it so couldn't test that. I think a lot of the Radius cards should have good results. There was discussion in a thread here and that's what lead me to the radius card.

It resolved my green issue that I had with the Macintosh Display Card 8/24, but depending on what LCD I hook it up to, I get various results. What resolution are you running at?

On my 24" LG widescreen it's stretched, but the colors are great. Using 1,4,6,7. I am using the same adapter you have btw.

On an old NEC multisync LCD, it's fine at 1024x768. At 640x460 the colors are great bit the screen is a tiny bit blurry.

Thank you, very helpful!

I’ll start looking for a Radius PrecisionColor 8-xj or perhaps a Radius PrecisionColor 8-24X?

Interesting... here is what I found out.

On the TobyII card I have none ADC2VGA Adapter does work. I tested several TFT's which are known to be capable of very different signals like (Nec 1550, 51vm, 71vm, 1970nxp and some more) ..it goes from nothing or a smearing or wrong (green) and not stable image.

But it works just fine on Benq 19" TFT BL904 with every adapter and every setting...perhaps the TFT ignores the ADC2VGA connector completely.

I still have a 15" Apple CRT that works just fine...so I can test if the machine is OK.
Would be nice if we can collect working NUBUS-Vards with ADC2VGA Switch on LCD/TFT.

I am thinking about a MacII with more than one Nubus Gfx card in order to get everything out of it. Starting from 512x384 b/w for the very early stuff, 640x 16/256 colors for the later stuff and 1024x 16Bit color for the gfx/cad.

Can I switch Monitor1 on the fly with macos6 ?

UPDATE!

Thank you for 1-4-6-7 with this setting the AppleHighResolutionCard syncs nice on my TFT Nec 71vm!
The TobyII card does not, don't know why that card only works on a real CRT an on the Benq 19" TFT regardless what setting the adapter has. For me it's more important the the Nec 71vm syncs because it has very good colors compared to the ugly colors on the Benq LED TFT.
