Hey Guys,

Im looking for Lisa / Mac Portable Parts in Australia, I am currently participating in the Retro Challenge, but I'm now in a predicament!

The Lisa 2 I have, which is an upgraded one does not have an I/O board.

To Add insult to injury, my Processor board in a Lisa 2/10 is just giving no video. ANyone with clues on this.. I have not changed the ROM's yet, have verified they are in right, I just don't have any IC extractors on me and don't want to damage them.

If anyone has any dead machines or parts, I am accepting donations. I am currently cataloguing my Apple Collection off around 250-300 machines and unique items.

All the machines in the collection are in the process of being restored to hopefully be a museum run in Apple History and Design.

Thanks

Digitalr

Unfortunately, I don't have any spare I/O boards (I presume you mean the main I/O daughter card - not a parallel card for the expansion slots).

The video out problem might just be the simple lack of the I/O card. I'll need to dust off one of mine to check.

I restored one for the Melbourne museum a little while back - only to have the power supply blow during the official opening!

Good luck getting you beast back up and running.

The video output is an issue with the Processor, I did test with a good I/O Board. The machine won't power on without a good I/O i thought???

I repair power supplies for the Lisa, Lisa 2 and ProFile if you need them fixed. I can replace all the AC Caps that ussually die for a pretty reasonable price.

That's what I was thinking. But I see you've tested with a known good board.

Good to know.

I'll let the museum know that I have a lead and see if they want to move ahead. They seemed to balk when I suggested buying some part for the repairs that I did.

Do you do the smaller motherboard caps too? Some of my collection have started showing signs of leaky caps, and I've been too slow in getting up to speed on the technique to replace them.
