Linux for Nubus

Unfortunately "received signal 11" (IE, "segmentation fault") is about the most painfully generic error you can run into on a UNIX machine. Since MkLinux *should* work on a 6100 the first thing I'd suspect is hardware; bad memory could cause a segfault, as might a disk error. (Since the message specifically seems to reference an installer program, are you booting off a CD, and if so are you sure the disk is good?) Is there anything usual about your configuration otherwise that it could be pitching a fit about? (Do you have an accelerator card installed, is your SCSI chain properly terminated, etc?)

To re-iterate, yeah, MkLinux should be fine on a vanilla 6100. A friend of mine was running it off a Jaz drive... almost two decades ago now, I helped beat it into submission so he could use his dialup Internet.
