I've noticed for some time now an interesting little thing that my 540c does. It's running System 7.6.1, and every time you click on the battery monitor in the control strip, the light on the caps lock key flashes :?:

Can anybody else repeat this little doo-dad? Maybe something's just funky with my PowerBook, but it'd be interesting to see if anybody else can repeat it. Also, it doesn't seem to do the same thing under 8.1, just 7.6.1.

Not annoying in the least, just thought some people here would find it interesting :)

Hmmm, both my PB540c units running 7.6.1 that I tried do this, a brief flash just as you depress the select function over the battery monitor. But there's more! If you bring up Key Caps, you will see that caps mode is not being even briefly selected. Still more...manually press Caps Lock. Now select the battery monitor once or several times, if you like. The Caps Lock light will go out, and subsequent selects of the battery monitor will briefly flash the light....BUT....your are still in Caps Lock mode, but with the light out! This also works in SimpleText, you can be typing in all caps with that light put out by the battery monitor select. [:D] ]'>
