My 1400 doesn't get many glances...i think most people just assume its a hunky-dory PC :p

Well, i live near Bundy, and i drink Bundy, and i have taste. :p Well...i have to...otherwise i wouldn't use Macs, right? :p

The only times it really raises attention is when i need to tell people that i can't do certain things on it because of its lack of USB/ethernet/WiFi/CardBus/Windows/etc

Your good self excluded of course. ;) I thought people in country towns would think you're a freak for using a 10 year old laptop. In Melbourne every second person's a freak anyway so we don't bat an eyelid.

Lol...the only reason i live in a country town is because i have to! The moment i graduate from uni, will be the moment i hit the road jack, and i won't come back no more no more no more no more, hit the road jack, don't come back no more :p

Heh, I did the same thing... So did all my other mates from Bendigo (town in central Victoria). I really wonder how all those little places survive the mass exodus. But you may change your mind in time - as soon as I have the money I'm buying a big place in the country and never coming back to this smoky den of vice*. The grass is always greener, eh? [8D]

*That's Melbourne, not my house. [8D]

How they survive is no secret...its because of tree-hugging hippies like my parents who think that the "big smoke" is evil!!!! [)] ]'>

I agree about the city being evil that is. :) Not about the tree hugging. I have nothing for trees!! Shrubs, maybe. But trees just don't do it for me. ::)
