iBook weirdness

My clamshell iBook SE is acting a bit odd.

I installed 10.3 on it and upgraded to 10.3.9 which has been running fine but so far today it has frozen while unstuffing a bin archive and later finder crashed with EXC_BAD_ACCESS (0x0001) and KERN_PROTECTION_FAILURE.

I'm guessing this crash and related things aren't going to simply stop and never happen again.

I'm running memtest 4.22 but it seems like not the best idea to memtest while the OS is loaded since there will be some areas of memory left untested.

The trackpad also has randomly gone wonky where it would act like there are 2 fingers on it and not move properly.

It happens in OS9 and OSX seemingly at random and for about a minute or so.

Specs:
Standard iBook Clamshell SE 466MHz Key Lime

512MB PC-133MHz module

24GB Intel 320 SSD via mSATA->IDE adapter

Airport card (Turned off)

Rebuilt battery

I did have my WiFi bridge/travel router plugged in, could the power draw from it cause something like it?

In theory the USB should current limit to 500ma, but not take out everything?
